WESTCHESTER AVENUE BRDIGE BIM PROJECT
History
Westchester Avenue Bridge lies above Hutchinson River Parkway and carries Westchester Avenue and an elevated subway line. The Westchester Avenue Bridge is the most struck bridge in New York City. In 2014 it was struck eighteen times, and in 2015 and 2016 it was struck thirteen times. Most of the strikes have been by errant trucks entering the parkway.
Project
To aid in the planning process of raising the bridge, Solvotek was requested t0 3D asbuilt BIM model the bridge. The delivery was 3D Revit model.
